COVID-19 UPDATE

Important information regarding Coronavirus (Covid-19) 


Our Government have now given the Automotive Industry the authority to continue trading in the public interest to ensure ongoing service and repair of vehicles ensuring the vehicles of key workers continues throughout these unprecedented times.

Our website is still fully operational, however we are monitoring the situation and our overriding priority is the health of our staff, customers and families. All our Technical and Telesales Teams are now working from home following the governments guidelines to stay at home

So please bear this in mind if you do not answer your call immediately. We encourage our customers to email or use our online chat featured on our web site. This will not only reduce the pressures on our teams and help increases productivity and ordering accuracy. 

Regarding our couriers, they are working hard to keep our parts moving, but please remember we have never before experienced a situation as serious as this pandemic. Drivers are stretched working with increased mail order deliveries along with reduction in drivers. It therefore impossible to give you accurate delivery schedules, but you will receive tracking information to ensure you are kept up to date. 

Due to COVID-19 restrictions we are currently not accepting walk in customers at this time, or customer collection of parts.

STORM JEEPS and STORM CUSTOMS WORKSHOP AND GARAGE

Our workshop and garage is open, however, they are working with reduced staff in the vehicle workshops to ensure the necessary distancing measures are in place. We are ensuring priority for emergency and key workers and we will be prioritising safety-related issues. 

Please DO NOT turn up without prior appointment, if you do have an appointment to deliver or collect a vehicle we will ensure you have no direct contact with our staff. Please follow any instructions given by posters on site.

All staff will be wearing gloves and will be adhering to COVID-19 guidelines – though we do recommend wiping your keys down again once you get them back – as an additional precaution.

Storm Jeeps Showroom will be closed for the three weeks 'lockdown' period, but we are happy to help you with any phone or email enquiries. We do have a wide selection of new Jeep Wranglers JL available for immediate delivery to our Storm Workshop once the restriction are lifted, please email sales@stormjeeps.com for more details.

We are working diligently to inform all customers affected by these instances. We will also keep you updated if any changes are implemented beyond our control.  Feel free to reach out to us with questions regarding any of the above points.

Suspension of International shipping 

As of 12noon, 26th March 2020 we will be suspending all international deliveries. Any orders paid for and not dispatched before this time a member of our team will contact you separately but for any orders placed but not paid for, these will be suspended until further notice. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause but we would like to ensure we can offer the highest level of service to our customers and during this period this may not be possible due to the Covid-19 outbreak. ParcelForce - Suspension of Sameday Collections 

Due to significantly higher than forecast volumes at the following depots, we have unfortunately had to suspend sameday collections across the UK today 18 March 2020 to ensure that all items get delivered;

DPD - With immediate effect, we will no longer ask customers to sign our handheld units and instead our drivers will sign it on their behalf. We will record the consignees name and a 'Delivered on Authority' message in the signature section of the unit.

With this new process you will still get your full track and trace functionality, giving you complete visibility of all your parcels.

This now forms our proof of delivery process for all deliveries until further notice

Royal Mail - In order to protect both our people and customers as much as possible, we will not be handing over our hand-held devices to customers to capture signatures. Postmen and women will instead log the name of the person accepting the item. This will apply to all deliveries that require a signature. 

Additionally, for all customers (including those who are self-isolating) where we need to deliver any parcel that won’t fit through your letterbox, we will place your item at your door. Having knocked on your door, we will then step aside to a safe distance while you retrieve your item. This will ensure your item is delivered securely rather than being left outside. 

If you are unable to come to the door at all we will issue a ‘Something for You’ card, advising of other ways you can arrange to get your item. For example, by getting a friend or family member to collect the parcel from our local Customer Service Point on your behalf. In this situation, and to keep your mail as secure as possible, they will need to bring along the card we left you and a form of ID in the name of the person the item is addressed to.

FEDEX  - From Monday 16th March Fedex will only deliver business to business from our European distribution centre. Orders can still be placed but there could be a 2-3 day delay in delivery as these orders will need to be sent to and re-shipped from our UK distribution centre.
